Financial Planner - Susan Cooper

For over 15 years, I have been helping retirees and aged care clients navigate important financial decisions with confidence and clarity.

After a successful career as an Engineer and Project Manager, I transitioned to Financial Planning to pursue my passion for helping people one-on-one, founding AgeWise Financial Planning in 2018.

I particularly enjoy the technical side of financial planning, including aged care strategies, Centrelink, asset structures and helping clients work through complex financial situations.  My goal is to guide people through major life transitions ensuring they understand their options and feel confident about the path ahead.

I am a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), hold an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), and have completed the ASIC Financial Adviser Exam. I also hold a Bachelor of Engineering, an MBA and am an accredited Retirement Living + Aged Care Specialist plus a member of the Aged Care Gurus adviser network.

Financial Planner - Sonia Amsing

I am passionate about helping people navigate difficult and often emotional financial decisions with confidence. I love helping clients understand their options, feel supported, and make informed decisions about their future.

With more than 20 years of experience in banking and finance, along with ongoing involvement in my family business, I bring practical financial knowledge and real-world experience to my advice and joined AgeWise Financial Planning in 2023.

I particularly enjoy connecting with people and understanding what matters most to them. Financial decisions are often tied to significant life changes, family relationships and emotions, and I am committed to helping clients work through these transitions with clarity and confidence.

I hold an MBA, a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, an Associate Diploma in Banking and Finance and have completed the ASIC Financial Adviser Exam. I am also an accredited Retirement Living + Aged Care Specialist and a member of the Financial Advice Association of Australia (FAAA).

Client Services Manager - Wayne Hackett

Hi there, I'm Wayne, your warm and friendly AgeWise Client Services Manager!

I am the go-to person for all your advice implementation and administration needs.

With over 20 years of experience in the technical and communications aspects of aged care, I was previously dedicated to installing and servicing nurse-call, security, and telephony solutions in healthcare and aged care homes. Since 2020, I enjoy embracing the personal side of assisting aged care and retiree clients, always ready to lend a hand with a welcoming smile.

I have completed a Diploma of Financial Planning and have plenty of life experience.

Financial Planning Assistant - Frances Donnellan

Hi, I’m Frances, the newest addition to the AgeWise team.

I bring a strong client-first perspective, shaped by both my professional background and personal experience supporting my grandparents through their recent financial advice journey with AgeWise. I understand how complex and emotional these decisions can be, and the importance of clear, compassionate support.

With a strong focus on detail, particularly in spreadsheets and preparation, I’m passionate about helping clients feel supported, informed and confident every step of the way.

Academically, I have completed a Graduate Diploma of Australian Migration Law and Practice and hold a Bachelor of International Studies and an Advanced Diploma of Public Relations.
